Birthday and An Open House!

Yesterday was Jamee's birthday!  And Jamee, Marty and Max also hosted an open house.  They couldn't have asked for a better day and turn out!  I'm so happy for them and the house is perfect!

Speed Racer

My first ride on my quad.  A huge thanks to Christie for documenting the occasion by taking lots of pictures!  It was so fun and can't wait to try it in the dirt.  Of course Emily had to join me and it was stinking cute with both of us racing down the street.  I'm sure the neighbors loved it!

We had a birthday celebration for Sandy on Saturday night.  Thanks to Scott and Karena for hosting a fun event.  Happy birthday Sandy!

Hippity Hop

Here comes the Easter bunny.  Saturday marked our annual homeowners association Easter egg hunt.  On Thursday, Emily's girl scout troop stuffed about 5,000 plastic eggs with candy for the hunt.  Then the troop also helped spread out all the eggs for the festivity.  The Pederson family came to join in the celebration.  Even the sun made an appearance!

This and That

For Emily's birthday Auntie B, Uncle Ryan and KP got Emily a butterfly garden.  We had to send away for the larva which arrived 9 days ago.  It's been a cool process to watch them grow.  Stay tune for more updates and a video!

Day 6

I'm so ready for sping and this craft from Grammy Jill was perfect!  Emily loved it!

I think I mentioned that Emily spent a half day with me at work this past week.  She had early release on Wednesday.  Emily set up shop in my office...iPad, coloring, caring for our office dog, Micki and she even had a few jobs to do around the office.  She loves to come to my work....maybe a future accountant?  She does like math!

And the grand total is 2,312 boxes...that is the count from Emily's girl scout troop.  They did awesome!  Thank you to all our family and friends for supporting Emily and the girl scout organization. 

Happenings

Thought I would catch up on the happenings around our house.   First of all today is an important day....it's Sandy's birthday!  Happy Birthday Sandy aka Grandma Sandy.  Hope you have a special day.  Today also marks the first day of spring though you would not know it by the yucky weather!

This weekend  Emily dyed Easter eggs and I got a quad!

I have forgotten how boiled eggs and vinegar stink but it was fun to dye eggs with Emily!

My new ride....can't wait to test it out!

We are a team green family.  Em and I have matching quads. 

This week Chris is in Everett for a World cup Kaizan project.  Great opportunity for him but the worst timing for my job.  I'm coordinating the drop off and the pick up.  A huge thanks to family and friends that are helping us out this week!  And of course today is an early release day at school.  Solution...Emily is coming to work with me for half the day.  She loves going to my work but I must admit it's a bit stressful for me.  Only 25 days until tax season is official over but who's counting?

On a sad note this pass weekend was a memorial service for my late Uncle Carl.  This is my dad's oldest brother.  He passed away on March 9th and will be missed.

Don't Forget the Guinness

I'm a wee bit Irish so I will be enjoying a Guinness for dessert tonight.

Tea for Ruby

For Emily's birthday Madlyn gave her a ticket to the ballet 'Tea for Ruby'.  We met the Kradjan girls on Sunday afternoon for a late lunch and then headed to the theater.  It was a sweet production and both girls LOVE it.

Happy Birthday Luke!

The big 4.  March 9th marked Luke's fourth birthday and what a celebration it was!  Hope you had a great and special day Luke!  We love you!

Cool Suprises

This week I had two cool surprises.  The first one was Wednesday evening.  Emily made Chris and I dinner all by herself.  She was so proud and told us 'that way you don't have to make dinner tonight, you can relax'.  How sweet huh?

The second awesome surprise came on Friday afternoon.  My sister called and asked if her and KP could stop by my work for a second.  They surprised me with a strawberry sundae, a picture from KP that she drew and a pan of homemade lasagna!  As I noted in a previous post that my sister rocks the lasagna.  This made my day.  Thank you to the Pederson ladies!

Booth Sales

Today marked Emily's first booth sale for Girl Scout cookies. The Dads (Bob and Chris) supervised the operation.  Emily and Brooke sold 69 boxes!  Way to go girls!
