A HUGE thank you to Papa Dirt! Once again he came through with awesomeness....that's a word right? This year both girls got 4 pumpkins each from Papa's garden. Jackpot! Here are some pictures of two that Emily carved this weekend. Kudos to Emily as she did most of it by herself. I only had to do some of the yuck removal. Thanks Dad, this tradition warms my heart and is something Emily looks forward to.

Biz Town
Last Friday the 5th grade classes went to Biz Town. A huge and awesome experience. Basically they run a town for a day. Each kiddo has a job...they earn a paycheck, open a bank account, buy insurance, buy food, etc. Emily was a member consultant at BECU. She loved it!

Art Work
This was a collaborate effort by Emily's class. Each student had a couple squares that they had to draw from a pattern, then they put all the squares together. Pretty cool....a falcon is the school mascot.

Ella turns 1
Ella turned 1 year old and celebrated at the zoo yesterday. It turned out to be sunny and a great day for the zoo. She was really digging the frosting!

Open House
Last night FH's hosted an open house. Meet the teacher, tour the class, etc. Since this our 6th year at FH's it was a bit old hat but still great to have some time with Emily's teacher, Mrs. Davidson. She is super awesome and Emily is looking forward to a great school year. Check out a sample of Em's art work:
