Random This and That

A few highlights from the past couple days:

• My birthday!   August 27th!  
• My Dad for as long as I can remember has called me on my birthday at 2:31pm, the official time of my birth!  Pretty cool huh?
• A fun dinner at Mazatlan with the gang from the hood to celebrate on my actual birthday.
• Last minute school supply shopping.
• Finding out Emily's 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Coyle.
• Summer is almost over....a bit sad but actually looking forward to the school routine.

Fun, Fun and More Fun

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday with our families.  Chris did a great job at hosting.  Thank you to everyone for joining in on the fun and for my wonderful gifts.  Everyone was so generous.  Games, outside obstacle course, BBQ and visiting!

My one birthday wish was to have a picture with my favorite daughter, favorite niece and favorite nephew.  Mission accomplished!

Trackside Pizza Ain't Got Nothing....

on the Friday night Bowers Family Pizza event!  We were invited to participant in this weekly tradition with the Bowers family.  And I must say YUMMY!  Of course they make everything from scratch!  An added bonus was that Janette took Emily horseback riding.  Thank you so much for a great and wonderful evening!

Letterboxing Buckley Style

Mandy texted me Sunday evening and asked if we had plans for Monday.  If not, would we like to go letterboxing with her and the kids?  Absolutely!  Emily and Taylor first did this in girl scouts and it was a huge hit.  I was excited to try my hand at it.  On a side note, if you don't know what letterboxing is here is a quick run down:

LETTERBOXING is an intriguing pastime combining navigational skills and rubber stamp artistry in a charming "treasure hunt" style outdoor quest.

So off we went to Buckley where Mandy found 5 letterboxing locations.  At the end of the day, the kids found four letterboxes, played at the park and ate an ice cream treat at Wally's.  A most successful and awesome day!

Moving On Up

Yesterday was the annual Sunbust Mopar car show.  This is the second year Chris has participated in it with the Plymouth.  Last year he placed 3rd in his class and this year he placed 2nd!  Way to go Mr. Moser!  Your Grandpa would be so proud.  Al placed 1st in his class so it was a win win for the Moser men.

LEGO Friends

Check these out.  Emily is addicted to them now!  LEGO finally came out with a line for girls.  Well I guess they have been out a while but Emily was just introduced to them (thanks Taylor)!  Anyway we went to Target to check out the other sets and what fun!  Emily told me they are all on her Christmas/Birthday list.

A few updates on the happenings around here....

*Jeff and Sheri moved back up to the Bonney Lake area!  It's great to have them close again.

*Congratulations to Ryan on his graduation. We attended his grad party yesterday.  He is departing for Boise State in a couple weeks.

*Joey and Christie are having a baby!  He or she will make an appearance the end of January.

*Sandy placed 9th in her roller skating event at Nationals!  What a great accomplishment!

*Met up with Marty, Max and Jamee for lunch today.  They were on their way back from camping at Rainier.

*It's August...how is that possible?  For me August is great since it's my birthday month!

Camp Fest 2013

Two jet ski's, our boat, numerous water floats.
Lots of bike rides, laughs and story telling.
A couple thunder storms.
