FH's BBQ

Today was Emily's school BBQ.  I can't believe that the last day of school is in less than 2 weeks.  Lots of fun things coming up so stay tuned in!

Super Star

I can't believe that last night we attended Kaitlyn's preschool graduation.  That means she will be in Kindergarten in the fall.  As my sister pointed out to me, she remembers when Emily graduated from preschool and it seems like yesterday.  Kaitlyn's class sang and did the ABC's in sign language.  I can't say enough how much this little peanut means to me.  I'm proud of you Kaitlyn!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Emily had her 3rd grade class field trip today.  The destination....Safeco Field.  According to her it was the best day of school ever.  She was so excited to tell Chris and I all about it.  She said she saw the dugout, the interview room, batting cages and had lunch in the bleachers.  Thanks to Mandy for taking a couple pictures.  They had so many parents volunteer to go that the teachers did a lotto drawing and I wasn't chosen.  But Mandy's name was picked!

Onto a Junior

Yesterday was Emily's last regular Brownie meeting for Girl Scouts.  Next year she will be a Junior. They incorporated the meeting into a year end family party.  A HUGE thank you to the leaders of Troop 45202!  I think this first year was a success and the girls learned a lot while having fun!

Mikkie

We are dog sitting Mikkie.  She is Mike and Bonnie's dog a.k.a their 'other' daughter.  She is such a sweet and mellow dog!  It's going to be sad when she leaves our house on Tuesday.

A Favorite

This picture is a favorite of mine.  I think Emily often looks more like Brandi's kiddo than mine.  That's o.k. since she LOVES her Auntie B!

Mom's Day

I was honored to spend Mom's Day with some awesome moms....my Mom, Sandy and Brandi!  We had a BBQ, relaxed, hung outside and had a street party.  Meaning we brought out the quads, bikes, mini bike and scooters for a fun time.  Ryan's and Al's favorite; the mini bike.  My Dad's favorite was my good ole' fashion pedal bike.  Emily's favorite of course was her quad.  Kaitlyn's favorite was racing Papa Dirt on her pedal bike and riding on the quad with Uncle Chris.

Special Outing

Well the past week has been pretty great weather wise.  So last Friday (May 3) I surprised Emily by picking her up early from school and headed to the zoo with Brandi and Kaitlyn.  Chris was in Reno for the weekend at a bowling tournament and golf marathon.  It was a beautiful day and once we actually got to the zoo (lots of traffic issues) it was a wonderful time.

This is the new stingray exhibit.  It was the first day and only open to members. 



The polar bear was awesome!  He/she? was having a great time playing in the water.

Ahh....I love these girls.  Even though a good portion of the day they spent bickering or competing for my attention or for Brandi's attention. 

Getting Back into the Swim of Things

Emily wanted to start up swim again.  So for May and June she will be swimming on Wednesday afternoons with Kaitlyn.  I love that the girls are in class together...not only do they enjoy it but I'm guaranteed to see my sister once a week!  Win win in my book.

Eye Charts, Leia and Skating

Found out that Emily needed glasses.  How cute are these?  Much cuter in person....of course they are pink/purple with hearts on the sides.

We are dog sitting Leia for 10 days!  She is doing great and even Peaches doesn't mind too much.  It's funny though, Leia wants to eat Peaches food and Peaches wants to eat Leia's food. 

The picture quality is not good, it was taken on my phone.  But it was great quality time with Grandma Sandy at the skating rink.  It was a spur of the moment thing for Emily.  She really wanted to go skating again!  She is getting quite good and brave.  I'm really happy to report I had no falls this time!

Celebrating Grammy Jill

Today we celebrated Grammy Jill's birthday.  Her actual birthday was April 15. The Pederson's, Moser's and Krause's headed to Mama Stortini's for lunch and then back to our house for cake and ice cream.  Hope you had a special day Mom!
